  Eucumbene Trout Farm  lots of Fun. A visit to the Eucumbene Trout Farm is sure to be of interest to any Fly-fishing enthusiast as this NSW Fisheries licensed farm has an operating hatchery and grow out area.

   Visitors will find the farm both informative and fun as they can relax in the knowledge that they are able to Fly fish in the Snowy Mountains best stocked private trout fishery.

    The farm is open for Fly-fishing only .

    This is to allow us time to make our acclaimed "Ecotrout: Smoked Trout Pate`" range.

    Which is available at selected stores in the Snowy Mountains , Canberra & on the far South Coast.

Spring or Autumn

 

 WINTER IS A GREAT TIME TO COME FLY

   Its a great time to come fishing & learn all about how we breed the fish.

  A walk around the hatchery and grow out area will enable visitors to view fish at various stages of growth.

  The fish are used to stock the farm's own Trout Lake where visitors to the farm hooked up 100`s of Rainbow Trout over  recent weeks. Average weight of the Rainbows in the lake is 600gms, but fish up to three kilos can be found .

  The majority of stock are presently Rainbow Trout, however you can also find  Brook Trout  which is a favourite of the owners.

 

 

 
Spring & autumn are the best times of the year as it is not too hot & not too cold . In saying that we should say they don't call these the Snowy Mountains for nothing.

It has been known to snow here in every month of the year . This is probably why some people choose to dress warmly when coming here.

As you can see the drought is  having quite an effect on us, which is why we had to close the family side of our business.
